Overhaul procedure

Step 1

Disassemble & check

The winch gearbox is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and all components carefully checked.

Replacement & renewal

Damaged parts are replaced and the bearings are usually completely renewed.

Assembly & maintenance

The winch is fitted with new seals and filled with fresh oil.

Completion & approval

The winch gearbox receives a new specification for the calculated service life and the overhaul is certified in accordance with BGV D6.
